We are pleased to announce that we will be upgrading you from our Cyberjaya Data Center in Malaysia to a newer and better data center. This new Data Center is located a short distance away from the current Cyberjaya Data Center. It comes with better facilities, power as well as bandwidth. With this new facility, we will be able to provide improved uptimes and bandwidth availability compared with before.

To facilitate this move, we'll be conducting a one-time migration exercise for all our customers. We have prepared a 6-hour maintenance window period for this purpose. Please kindly note that the migration will be conducted on the following date and time:

Date: Sunday, 11 April 2010
Time: 00:00hrs - 06:00hrs (MYT/Malaysia time, GMT +0800)

There will be no IP address change to the servers. All the servers will be using the same IP addresses in the new data center facilities, after the migration.

During the maintenance period, all servers and network equipment will be physically dismounted and migrated to the new location. For co-location and dedicated customers' servers, we will need your kind cooperation to shutdown the servers prior to migration.

Please find below the server migration procedure:

(1) At the scheduled time, all customers will shutdown all the servers.
(2) We will move all the servers and our network equipments to the new data center.
(3) We will mount and boot up all the network equipments and the servers.

During the maintenance period, we will need you to shutdown your server(s) before we dismount and migrate the server(s) physically to the new location. You may shutdown your server(s) between [00:00 to 00:15 hrs MYT]. Please shutdown your servers before [00:15 hrs MYT] since we will start powering down and dismounting all the servers at [00:15 hrs MYT]. We expect the whole process to take approximately 3 hrs but have scheduled a longer maintenance time to cater for unforseen circumstances. If you wish, you may also request for us to shutdown your server(s) for you. If this is the case, please provide us with the necessary root or Administrator password for us to login to the server, and shutdown the server. Please also let us know if you need us to start any processes upon booting up your server(s). You will need to provide us with the password prior to the migration.

Description of maintenance:

Our upstream provider in Malaysia will perform a network maintenance, affecting the network connectivity to our Kuala Lumpur data center facilities in Malaysia. Only connectivity from local Malaysia network is affected, international connectivity will not be affected.

During the network maintenance, traffic will be redirected to other available links.

11 January 2010, 11:00hrs - 16:00hrs (extended until further notice)

We will need to do an *URGENT* migration of all the servers and network equipments in Shanghai, China to a new and better data center facilities.

During the urgent maintenance period, all the servers and network equipments will be physically unmounted and migrated to the new location. We have prepared a 5-hour maintenance window period for this purpose. The urgent maintenance will be conducted on:

Kindly be informed that there's a need to change the IP address of your server(s). For us to help you in changing the IP address of your servers during the migration, we would need to have root/administrative access to your server. Please kindly provide us with the necessary details and give your approval for us to change the IP address on your behalf.

If you prefer to change the IP address yourself prior to the migration, please do let us know and we shall get for our China engineers to contact you and liaise with you directly for the arrangement.
