Once you are logged in, select and click on "Email Management".
- To Create a POP Email Account, click "Create Account".
You will be brought to a screen with the following fields to be filled in: [ POP Username: ], [ Password: ], [ Full Name: ], [ Select New Quota: ].
Enter the POP Username you require for your email account. If you are creating "sales@alaskanpineapples.com" for your virtual server "alaskanpineapples.com", type in "sales".
Once all the fields are filled in, click "Create Account".
If you are ready to leave the Email management section of Web.Manager, click on "Restart Mail Server. Note: You must always restart your mail server for changes to be saved and for your Email Management screen to be updated.
Use Web.Manager to Create a Catch-All POP Email Account
- The catch-all POP Email Account is an Email Account that will "catch" or "hold" all emails that are addressed to non-existent email addresses at your Webvisions virtual server.
For example, your customers may make an error in addressing their email to "salees@alaskanpineapples.com" instead of "sales@alaskanpineapples.com". In such cases, the email will be forwarded to the catch-all POP Email Account, and you may access the mail through that account.
- NOTE: For the catch-all POP Email Account to work this way, you will have to
- Set a designated Email address as the catch-all account. You can do this by entering the desired Email address to be set as the catch-all account at the same Web.Manager/Email Management screen, and clicking on "Update Catch-All Address".
- Create the Email address, either as a POP Email account or an Email forwarding account.
Although the catch-all account is set at default to "webmaster@yourdomain.com", if the email account "webmaster@yourdomain.com" is not created using Web.Manager, all mail sent to this address will bounce.
